Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft) When you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our airport representative will greet you and complete the formalities (Visa, etc), you need to confirm for our agent with a display board at the entrance gate. You will then transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will join a welcome dinner at a first rate traditional Nepalese restaurant where we get pleasure from a Nepalese cultural program and enjoy fine meal. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu After having breakfast you will go for sightseeing all around Kathmandu Valley. You will visit Bauddhanath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa. All these are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage list. In the evening you will meet with Nepal Hiking Himalayas’ trekking guide who will help you for trekking preparation. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla We take a fascinating flight early in the morning to Lukla (2827m) from Kathmandu taking 40 minutes. We arrive at Lukla, in the afternoon and we begin our walk passing through different settlements before going into thick forest under the Kalo Himal Ridge. There are a lot of routes leading ahead from the major path.
Day 04: Chutanga to Zatrawala Pass On this day, we will trek from Chutanga to reach at Zatrawala Pass (4610m.) then finally to to Zatrabok (4704m.). You have a steep ascend path to cross Zatrawala Pass. From here we can see superb vistas of of Numbur Himal, Karyolang peak, Kongdi Ri and many mountains. Now you walk on the simple track for around one and half hour and after that the track turns down and you will trek all the way through this dropping path to reach the pass Zatrabok.
Day 05: Zatrabok to Kothe We will trek from Zatrabok to reach Kothe. In order to reach Kothe you walk steep downward path. On the way you will walk through forests of rhododendron, juniper and see other vegetation. The vistas you can take pleasure from are Nauleku peak, Mera peak and a lot of other peaks.
Day 06: Kothe to Tangnang We will today walk from Kothe to reach Tangnang (4356m.) and walk through Hinku Valley (4600m.). You will trek beside the bank of stream and find bush on both of the sides. The trail continues to climb and you can add charm in your trek with the views of Kusum Kanguru many more peak.
Day 07: Rest day at Tangnang. We have an acclimatization day today at Tangang. We will rest and let our bodies get better from the former days of hiking. You will lighten up and experience stunning views of glaciers and mountains surrounding the top of the Hinku Valley.
Day 08: Tangnang to Dig Kharka We will on this day trek from Tangnang to reach at Dig Kharka (4659m.). We now stroll to the peak as the path rolls to the east. We will gain height slowly until and after that we will be at Dig Kharka (4,650m), near to the Hinku Nup Glacier’s base. This allows you to have a spot to camp in a pleasant and grassy area.
Day 09: Dig Kharka to Khare We will move ahead from Dig Kharka and reach Khare (5045m.). Today we will make way up above (5,000 m.). We have short day trek, but we will gradually walk with regular stops to acclimatize in the amazing surroundings. The path moves eastward out of Tangnag all along the lateral moraine of the Glacier. We will stop in order to ascend up the moraine for a vbeautiful view of the perfect glacial lake, Sabai Tso. After walking further we will reach Khare from where the stunning north face of Mera Peak comes into our view and Mera glacier drop steeply downward to the valley.
Day 10: Rest day at Khare This is one more day to become accustomed and prepare for the Mera Peak ascend. You will observe beautiful and distinctive atmosphere at Khare.
Day 11: Khare to Mera La Trekking ahead from Khare in order to reach Mera La Pass (5350m.), you will take a short trip, gradually making way up to Mera glacier. The way up is to start with vertical, but knocks down as you arrive at the peak of the glacier. You will pass through a lengthy flat on peak of the glacier as you move to the pass, called Mera La (5,400m). From here, the views are stunning. Gorge fields gently come to face of the pass and the remaining way up to the apex of Mera Peak is clearly observable.
Day 12: Mera La (Pass) to Mera Peak You trek gradual way up path from Mera La (Pass) to reach the high camp of Mera Peak. This region is fairly enclosed by ice glacier. The views will stun as you can see the peak views of Everest, Baruntse, Makalu, Kusum Kanguru and many mountains. Furthermore, you will be amazed seeing the wonderful views of Mera Glacier.
Day 13: Climb High Camp Today, you will walk up to the high camp. This is located at around 5,800 m on the North slopes of the higher mountain. Not necessary to make an early beginning but we have to get properly equipped so that the Sherpas will help with transporting the equipments to the high camp. Now, the route moves left (south) and we will walk on easy angled snow inclines. After a short time the region of crevasses is reached. And after that the crevasses lets us move to slightly steeper but unwrapped snow slopes that takes us to the high camp which appeals you with magnificent views of Everest, the Nuptse, Makalu, Lhotse wall and more.
Day 14: Return to Khare We will return to Khare after summating the summit of Mera Peak. The central peak will soon come into sight above the top of a wide glacier edged by two edges. We will move up to the centre of the open snowfields. The route then moves south-east, fudging below and to the east part of the left-hand edge ahead of turning back right to reach the main peak ridge of Mera. Mera in fact has 3 summits. Reaching at the top one is our aim. After taking some pictures and enjoying the sights, we move down by the same way and reach at Khare.
Day 15: Khare to Kothe We will move further from Khare to arrive at Kothe taking around eight hours. This day you will stroll along the steadily falling path passing all the way through Tangnang. This is a tiny village and you discover yak settlement there. To arrive at Kothe you go behind the same path. En route, you will pass forests enclosed with fir, and other vegetation.
Day 16: Kothe to Zatrabok On this day, we will trek from Kothe to reach Zatrabok taking around 6 hours. The track goes vertically up all the way to reach Zatrabok walking through forests and green hills.
Day 17: Zatrabok to Chutanga We will today trek from Zatrabok to arrive at Chutanga taking around 5 hours. Till Zatrawala Pass, our trail ascends and then you walk downward to reach Chutanga passing through rocky path.
Day 18: Chutanga to Lukla We will walk from Chutanga to Lukla taking about four hours. You will today trek passing through forests of fir, oak, rhododendron, juniper and other vegetation. The track you walk all along will move downhill to Lukla. Here you can witness the stunning views of Numbur Himal, Karyolang peak, Kongdi Ri and a lot of other peaks.
Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel. Today, we will fly back to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Lukla and move back to the hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day, you can relax or go around Kathmandu for shopping.
Day 20: Transfer to airport, departure onward destination. After completing all the procedures at the airport, we will leave for our respective destination.
